I thought I’d share some photos of a Goldtop finish that a customer has sprayed with my Gold top lacquer.
Here is what he said:
“I must say that Goldtop Lacquer was incredible, quite possibly even better and more in keeping with the original 50’s Goldtop than gibson now spay their guitars with, it came out a treat, I’ve enclosed a couple of pics of the guitar for you to have a look at, the customer wanted to keep the back neck and sides black and just have the top done in Gold, I sandwiched the whole can between a light clear coat until the whole can was used.”And here are his pictures:

A few people over the years have asked for this colour so I have finally decided to make it a stock item.
Scalloped Ibanez Jem Fretboard
A regular customer of mine asked me to scallop the last four frets of his Ibanez Jem.
Once the scallops were cut and sanded, I sealed the bare wood with a couple of coats of Clear Satin nitrocellulose lacquer.
