This was also refinished by a customer. It’s a mid 90s Mexican Fender DuoSonic re-issue with a 22″ short scale neck.

“Results are great! Again I thank you for the paint – clearly excellent quality, and for the advice both on your web site and via email – invaluable. There is no way I could of achieved these results without your help, cheers!”
HIT THAT CUSTOMER UP, I WOULD KILL SOMEONE FOR THAT GUITAR! Seriously though.
Hi. Nice job and lovely colour. Is this the Surf Green lacquer with Light Tint Gloss clearcoat over the top?
Thanks – and yes it is.
Hi again. Just ordered the primer and Surf Green lacquer – ( one step at a time!) to get the prepared project body started. I note that you spray on a nice sunny day. Is there an alternative, such as a well- ventilated garden shed and an electric fan heater for spraying in these colder months or do I run the risk of blooming ?
Hi Stephen,
Thanks for your order. It’s not the cold so much as humidity that causes blush. You shoud be fine in a warm shed, but best to spray thin coats (as always) to get good results.
Thanks….and the recommended drying time between each coat? I think that will be sufficient for now but I’m appreciative of the advice.
In warm conditions, thin coats dry in just a few seconds and you can overspray right away. See https://www.manchesterguitartech.co.uk/2011/08/05/finishing-an-ash-telecaster-in-butterscotch/
